In Memoriam of Dr. Brenda Gurule
|
It is with deep sadness that we say goodbye to Dr. Brenda Gurule, Medical Director of VCA All Pets Animal Hospital Boulder and friend to many. Dr. Gurule passed away on June 24, 2008 after a two-year struggle with cancer.
Dr. Gurule graduated from Colorado State University in 1988 and started working at VCA All Pets in 1989. As Dr. Gurule perfected her craft, she became a wonderful diagnostician, who was dedicated to her clients, patients and co-workers.
In 2002 she accepted the position as Medical Director of VCA All Pets and brought with her a passion and expertise that helped to make our practice what it is today.
To those that knew her, she would want you to remember her as intelligent, loving, passionate, fun, sassy, dedicated and above all a wonderful mother. She will be greatly missed by all that knew her.
One of Dr. Gurule’s long time clients summed up it best when she said, “Dr. Gurule was truly a blessing, not only to the people who knew her, but also to all species as she dedicated her life to saving the lives of the innocent. Dr. Gurule was only 46 years old. Her passing is foremost a tragic injustice to someone who did everything right. It is also an tragedy to all the lives she was still to save and influence. Her honesty and compassion had never wavered in the 17 years I had been taking my ferrets to her and I am proud to say she was my friend. I and all who knew her will always be thankful that she was a part of our lives. I know I am a better person because of it.”
